Thanks Luc. The challenge is getting that key set before the server boots up after customization. Otherwise the server will register, of course. I have tried setting it in the template but I guess because a new nice is created that gets ignored. I wonder when it actually registers, when the first logon happens? We have it set to log on automatically... I swear I've tried that "do this after first logon" ....
